Obviously Gaijin is a company which is looking to make cash, and I'm sure their numbers team tell them what they are doing is the best way to get maximum profit. If they focused on balancing by BR we would also likely get natural decompression. Every extra variable used to balance just makes it harder for the devs to correctly balance things. In terms of balancing aircraft - I think BR and reward multipliers are more than sufficient. How does the rest of the community feel on this issue? I personally would be fine with making 10% of the SL I currently do if it meant I didn't have any repair costs. That isn't engaging gameplay for anyone in the match. Extreme repair costs is also the cause of passive gameplay from many players in bombers - they have no hope of getting back to the AF and landing, so their only option is to climb into space. I have premium time and all sorts of premiums for gaining SL, but I just can't bring myself to throw 30k away each time I die. What makes the game extremely tedious is when I feel I can't play a vehicle I want to because of stupidly high repair costs.įor example as a British player I would love to enjoy the Spitfire mk22 and mk24, but their repair costs mean I can never realistically enjoy them. I'm a fairly new player to war thunder, and I don't mind having to play a lot to unlock higher tier vehicles.
